fabulous sew-in machine made weft
If you want to own fullness, ease of styling, simple maintenance, and a long-term natural hair
extension look, your best option is to choose a sew-in using weft hair. There are three basic types
of weft hair, which are usually available in synthetic or human: machine weft hair, hand-tied weft
hair and skin weft hair . They provide an easy-to-wear, natural look with longevity and versatility
for hairstyling.
Part and braid dry, clean hair neatly in small, close cornrows (either circular or straight back,
depending on preference and style).
Liberally moisturize the scalp in between braids. This will help prevent your natural hair from
drying out when extensions are applied.
Pin the ends of the braids down as flatly as possible to create a full base for sewing the weft (also
called track) to your hair.
Thread a needle with a considerable amount of thread (that matches the shade of your hair color)
and tie the knot securely at end.
Measure the weft against the braid for the amount of width needed and cut. Begin measuring at the
nape of the neck.
Place the weft on top of the braid and anchor with the unused hand.
Put the needle through the braid and weft and pull until secured.
Repeat the loop through the braid and weft until entire row is complete and cut off any excess hair
at the end of row.
Sew (cross stitch) the end of the weft to avoid lifting, cut the thread and double knot to secure the
end.
Continue until all braids have been attached with extensions and layered to desired thickness.
Arrange loose, natural hair to lay over visible wefts for closure.
Moisturize the hair and spray lightly with gloss or sheen.
Flat-iron natural hair straight and comb together to blend with the weft hair.
Cut and layer extensions to desired length and fullness and curl with the curling iron.
